Purpose Sentis Hereditary Gastric Cancer examines 14 genes associated with an increased risk for hereditary Gastric cancer (stomach cancer). It includes both well-established Gastric cancer susceptibility genes, as well as candidate genes with limited evidence of an association with stomach cancer. Patients identified with hereditary Gastric cancer can benefit from increased surveillance and preventative steps to better manage their risk for cancer. Also, if an inherited susceptibility is found, your patient’s family members can be tested to help define their risk.Genes: : CDH1, MLH1, MSH2, MSH6, PMS2, EPCAM, APC, BMPR1A, SMAD4, STK11, TP53, MUTYH, BRCA1, BRCA2.
